Welcome to NutriGlow. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the NutriGlow app (com.nutriglow.nutriglow).

By using NutriGlow, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our service:

Personal details: Name, age, gender
Body metrics: Height, weight, target weight
Health & fitness data: Activity level, fitness goal, diet preference
App usage data: Meal logs, water intake, streak history, badges earned
Account information: Email address and Google account ID (if you sign in with Google)
Profile photo: If you choose to upload one (optional)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide the NutriGlow service:

Generate your personalised meal plan and calorie targets
Track daily meals, water intake, and nutrition progress
Calculate BMI, BMR, TDEE, and body fat estimates
Maintain your streak and achievement records
Send meal and water reminder notifications
Enable optional cloud backup of your data

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage (Hive database). If you choose to sign in with Google, your data may also be synced to our secure cloud backend (Supabase) for backup purposes. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

4. Google Sign-In

NutriGlow offers optional sign-in via Google. If you use this feature, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID from Google's authentication service. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We only use this information to identify your account within the app.

5. Notifications

NutriGlow sends local notifications for meal reminders, water intake reminders, and daily streak reminders. These notifications are scheduled on your device and do not involve any external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

6. Third-Party Services

NutriGlow uses the following third-party services:

Supabase – optional cloud data sync
Google Sign-In – optional authentication

7. Children's Privacy

NutriGlow is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted using TLS. Local data is stored securely on your device. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

Access the data stored in the app (visible in your profile)
Delete your data by uninstalling the app (clears local data)
Request deletion of cloud data by contacting us at the email below

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
